Repurposing Materials

So I have been working on this piece for awhile because it was challenging. So we all know by now that repurposing, upcycling materials is a good thing for many reasons. However it can also be challenging. The wood piece was on its way to the dump when I grabbed it (along with some other items). I think it was a drawer front, but it had a hole slightly off-center. I like things centered and symmetrical, so this was a challenge for me. I finally decided to fill the hole with wood filler and attach the hook you see lower and turn the piece vertical. Moral of the story: using recycled materials can be challenging, but it's worth it!
