So I finished the last of the projects I had hoped to finish by the end of the weekend. That is exciting! I have a couple more that I am working on and hope to have finished in the coming days...just waiting for paint to dry. :) Here's the latest. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22962060

So I have been working on this piece for awhile because it was challenging. So we all know by now that repurposing, upcycling materials is a good thing for many reasons. However it can also be challenging. The wood piece was on its way to the dump when I grabbed it (along with some other items). I think it was a drawer front, but it had a hole slightly off-center. I like things centered and symmetrical, so this was a challenge for me. I finally decided to fill the hole with wood filler and attach the hook you see lower and turn the piece vertical. Moral of the story: using recycled materials can be challenging, but it's worth it!
